AF&PA Releases January Paperboard Report

WASHINGTON, DC | According to the American Forest & Paper Assn.’s January 2010 Paperboard Report released February 23, total production increased from December 2009 totals by 81,800 tons or 8.0%. Total paperboard production decreased by 2.1% in January 2010 compared to January 2009. Additional key findings from the report include: Solid bleached folding production rose 14.7% from December 2009. Unbleached kraft folding grew 12.5% over prior month Recycled folding production increased 6.4% compared to last month Inventories of solid bleached kraft paperboard decreased from December 2009.
